Privacy Policy

Plain language. If anything here is unclear, ask through the feedback form in the app.

What we store

  • Your account: name, email address, and whether you signed in with Google.
  • Your projects and everything in them: characters, places, timelines, ideas, notes, interview answers, uploaded images.
  • Your settings, including any AI provider keys you add. Keys are encrypted at rest and never shown again after saving.
  • Feedback you send and, if you subscribe, your email on the updates list.

Where it lives

In our database hosted on Railway, behind Cloudflare. Backups are part of that hosting.

Who else sees it

The shared Loomwrighter AI runs on DeepSeek. When you use it, the text of your project (characters, places, timeline, notes, and anything you paste for checking) is sent to DeepSeek's servers to generate the response.

DeepSeek is a third party. Their privacy policy and data practices apply to what they receive, and their servers may be outside your country.

If you add your own provider key, requests go to that provider under its terms instead. Google and Microsoft see only what sign-in requires; they never receive your projects.

What we never do

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or train models on your writing.

Cookies

One session cookie to keep you signed in. Preferences such as theme are kept in your browser only. Cloudflare's privacy-first analytics may run on public pages; it sets no cookies.

Retention and deletion

Your data stays as long as your account is open. When you delete your account it is closed and archived: you lose access to it and everything in it, and it cannot be reopened. We keep the archived data for record-keeping and abuse prevention; it is not shown to anyone and is not used to train models. If you want the archived data erased as well, ask through the feedback form or the support email and we will erase it.

Export

You can export any project as JSON, and the story bible as Markdown, at any time.
